Hello all! I am getting down to crunch time with school... less than a month to go!!
Chad and I went up to Muskegon this past weekend to met with a realtor and look at houses. We had been looking online for a few weeks and had a pretty good list of places to see, but after 2 full days of looking (at probably 30-40 houses!) we still have not found a good fit for us. What are we going to do??!!?? Yes, I have been getting a little bit of anxiety thinking that we will be "homeless", but we will figure something out.
We did make some time to take a few pictures of the area...

Here I am in front of the culinary school sitting on a bench with Mr. Hackley (more about him in a bit)
Here are some pictures of Muskegon Lake from the downtown area...
Then, before we left to come back to Shreveport, we did a tour of the Hackley and Hume homes (this will be a MUST for any visitors!) For any history buffs, click the link below to get some information about these two...
And, here are some pictures of their restored homes.
The outside of the two homes and the carriage house in the middle.

That's it for now, hope you enjoy the pictures and I will have more info soon!!

I found your blog via the Candid RD's blog (we went to grad school together). I'm actually currently living in Muskegon, too. The beaches are absolutely wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read more!!! Pictures of cake, made by you, on a blog?! This is my dream blog. Emily (above) is such a great friend of mine and is so brilliant when it comes to nutrition. Her blog is GREAT! Check it out when you get a chance, you'll be impressed.
